A camera reads light before it reads anything else. Get the light right and an ordinary phone gives you a photo worth framing; get it wrong and the nicest camera still turns out flat. A dim room or a dusk park comes alive with a few warm sources set low and close.
Work in layers you can set fast. Battery candles and copper-wire lights carry no flame and no cords. A projector or a sign gives the frame a focal point, and petals cover the empty floor. None of it needs a venue or a permit, which is the whole appeal.
Set it while she's away, and keep it to what you can light in five minutes. The more elaborate the build, the more that can go wrong in the window between she's on her way and she's here, so favor a few things that look great over a lot of things that might not fire.
