6 to 12 months out
- Have the marriage conversations: money, family, and home. Chapter 1 gives you the script for each.
- Settle the rule that governs everything else: the proposal should be a surprise. The question never should be.
3 to 6 months out
- Set your all-in number, one figure that covers the ring, the moment, and the celebration. Chapter 2 shows how, and the cost page shows what things run.

- Find her ring taste and her size, in secret.
2 to 5 months out

1 to 4 months out

- Draft the speech: three acts, around a minute, her name at the end. Chapter 7 builds it with you.
The final month
- Confirm every vendor with one message each: date, time, place, phone numbers.
- Walk the location and find your exact mark.
- Rehearse the speech out loud and time it.
- Write the play-by-play and pack the bag the night before. Chapter 8 is the operations manual, secrecy included.
